back to normal
its been a hectic ten days, from cny eve till yesterday.
spent cny eve, working half day and having dinner in the evening. went down to sgh to see uncle who was hospitalised. now the way down, i realised that it was my first time going down to see him since he was hospitalised in mid jan. stayed there for a few hours and went home. spent the remainder of the night doing the usual cny stuff: cards, countdown, getting angbaos. stayed up till 4am before sleep took over the body.
spent most of the first and second day of the new year at sgh. went visiting d's parents and aunt on the third day.
spent the afternoon of the fourth day playing board game. it was my first time playing cluedo, and a long time since i played board games with more than one person. night was spent at sgh yet again.
fifith day, woke up at 7.30am to wait for MOE's sms, but they were earlier, it arrived at 6.30am. i suppose the MOE people are all early birds or something. after celebrating my sucessfully entry into S88, received news that uncle was in critical condition. sort of rushed down to sgh, but before the car left woodlands, received news that he was gone. perhaps its was because the news was recevied through text(sms), the fact seemed less harsh.
arrived at the hospital, and plans for the funeral begun. from casket to church to niche. spent the rest of the day and the next four days mainly going down to the church and back home. then yesterday(last day), went down to mandai crematorium. i suppose going down to mandai allows us to better accept the fact and move on.
these few days have made me think alot about my life. when i die, will i look back at my life, see it filled with regrets or see that i have lived it to the fullest with meaning. yet again, how does one live to the fullest and with meaning.
